Concept of the Innovation Market:
Great Ideas…We’ve all had them, but many ideas never leave the idea phase. With Sioux City Growth Organization, we believe that what we do with those ideas makes them great! Growing from the community collaboration held during campaigning to become an Iowa “Great Places” city, SCGO recognizes that it is time to bring these great ideas to market again!
SCGO is excited about our upcoming project: The Innovation Market: Growing Local Ideas
The market has three main goals:
First, this event will cultivate positive action in the community by connecting positive people as well as introducing like-minded leaders who are excited about growth and change for Sioux City.
Secondly, this project grew out of a “Fill Empty Spaces” idea. SCGO saw a need to showcase vacant buildings downtown and the Innovation Market is one of the ways to get people into locations they might not otherwise see.
Finally, it’s about ideas. Taking ideas, however big or small and growing those ideas into action. Connecting people with ideas and those with the help they need, setting the wheels in motion.
